Shelby Cason

A Charleston native, Shelby Cason joined Happy Homes in January 2023 and now serves as Director of Asset Management. With a career in property management that began in 2019, Shelby brings extensive experience in long-term residential rentals throughout the Charleston tri-county area. In her current role, she oversees Happy Homes’ team of property managers and leads the strategic management of our clients’ investment properties, focusing on maximizing performance, preserving asset value, and delivering exceptional owner results.

Shelby combines a deep understanding of the local rental market with a proactive, results-driven approach to asset management. She works closely with property owners to develop strategies that optimize rental income through competitive market pricing, thoughtful property improvements, and data-driven decision-making. Her goal is to help clients capitalize on their investments while ensuring their properties remain well-maintained, competitive, and positioned for long-term success.

Known for her hands-on leadership style, Shelby is committed to maintaining high standards across the property management team while building strong relationships with owners, residents, and vendors. She believes successful asset management requires a balance of revenue growth, operational efficiency, and property preservation, always prioritizing the owner’s best interests.

Shelby holds a B.A. in Communications with a Marketing minor from the College of Charleston. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her Portuguese Water Dog, Sven, skiing in the winter, hiking, and exploring local coffee shops.
