Makayla joined Happy Homes in August 2025, bringing with her seven years of diverse experience in the property management and real estate industry. Her background spans student housing, luxury real estate sales, and multifamily leasing, giving her a well-rounded perspective and a deep appreciation for relationship-driven service. With a passion for helping people and creating a seamless leasing experience, she thrives on building connections and delivering solutions that benefit both residents and property owners.

Originally from New Jersey, Makayla began her career in property management while attending Coastal Carolina University, working as a Leasing Coordinator in student housing. After earning her real estate license and exploring luxury sales, she discovered her true passion remained in the community-focused world of property management. Since then, she has excelled in leasing and marketing roles for both apartment communities and single-family homes, with a focus on strategic planning and continuous improvement.

A lifelong learner, Makayla enjoys regularly pursuing professional development through continuing education and industry certifications, including Google certifications. She brings a thoughtful, analytical mindset to her work, and her love of problem-solving makes her a natural fit in leasing and resident services.

Outside of work, Makayla loves hiking, camping, skiing, and pretty much anything outdoors. She volunteers with the Coral Restoration Foundation and highly enjoys Scuba Diving and has been a Certified Master Scuba Diver since 15. A movie buff and self-proclaimed foodie, she’s always up for trying new experiences and making the most of every adventure, especially with her Blue Heeler “Ashton” by her side!
